The Centennial High School Computer Science Club is all about using code to problem-solve. The club centers around learning programming techniques and using that knowledge in outside competition. For programmers at all levels, the CS Club provides an open forum of discussion where one can better their computer science skills and build connections to collaborate with like-minded people.
If you are interested in Computer Science, why not? Whether it be the competitive, algorithmic side, knowledge in AI technology, or just pure computer engineering, the Computer Science club provides a central hub where one can meet people who have the same niche.
Our club centralizes itself around the algorithmic, competitive side of programming as we participate in a multitude of competitions along those lines, including UIL.
A meeting typically will include:
Yes and no. While we do centralize the club around algorithmic competitions, we are also on the look for Hack-A-Thons to participate in to broaden our understanding of Computer Science.
Outside of just competing, we also may have a discussion on the new "thing," such as a new technology/innovation on the rise, a new language, etc.
In order to be the best, you've got to beat the best! If the event is a competition, you can participate ONLY if you sign up for the competition through the sign up sheet at club meetings.
